Custom Domains

We'll handle your domain configuration for you. When you're ready to do so, contact SoloFolio support via the Account page and we'll take care of the process.

We highly recommend that you attach a custom domain name to your SoloFolio site. SoloFolio does not provide domain registration services, as it is in your best interest to own and manage your domain name directly. We recommend buying a domain with GoDaddy. However, any registrar that allows full DNS management will work.

SoloFolio-Managed DNS

If enabled for your account.

We now manage your DNS records directly within the app, powered by Cloudflare. Instead of configuring DNS records yourself at your registrar, you can let SoloFolio handle them for you.

To get started, point your domain's nameservers to the Cloudflare nameservers we provide for your site. Once your domain is using our nameservers, we'll automatically create and maintain the DNS records needed to keep your site online and your SSL certificate valid.

You can view and manage your DNS records from your site's domain settings at any time.

Migrating to SoloFolio-Managed DNS Without Downtime

Switching your domain to SoloFolio-managed DNS means changing your nameservers. To avoid any interruption to your site, email, or other services, we automatically import your existing DNS records into Cloudflare before you make the switch.

Add your domain in SoloFolio. When you attach your domain, we create your Cloudflare zone and automatically scan and import your current DNS records—A, AAAA, CNAME, MX (email), TXT (SPF, DMARC, verification), and common DKIM selectors for email signing.
Review the imported records. Open your site's domain settings to confirm everything was brought over correctly. If anything is missing, you can add it yourself or send it to us via the Account page, and we'll add it before you switch nameservers.
Lower your TTLs (optional). A day or two before migrating, reduce the TTL on your existing records at your current provider. This shortens how long the old settings are cached and speeds up the cutover.
Update your nameservers. At your registrar, replace your current nameservers with the Cloudflare nameservers we provide. Because your records already live in Cloudflare, traffic continues without interruption as the change propagates.
Confirm propagation. Nameserver changes can take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate. During this window, requests may be answered by either your old or new provider—since both have identical records, there's no downtime.

If you'd prefer, grant us delegate access (see below) and we'll handle the entire migration for you.

Need help setting up your domain?

If you'd like SoloFolio to configure your domain for you, you can grant us delegate access through your registrar. This lets us make the necessary DNS changes without needing your login credentials.
